Beebonds is an alternative financing platform approved by the Belgian financial regulator (FSMA) that connects individual and institutional investors with borrowers for real estate or corporate related projects. Investments are possible from 500 €. The platform has thousands of retail and institutional investors throughout the European Union, Switzerland, Monaco and Israel.

Genesis
Founder Joël Duysan wanted to create a profitable means of financing, with a real impact on the real economy. In Belgium, the amounts raised are mainly used to finance construction costs, while in Luxembourg, loans are used to acquire land, which is much more expensive there.
Projects to be financed
Since 2017, BeeBonds has financed about fifty projects, mainly in the field of real estate development but also the development of medium-sized companies (Pitaya, Yoga Room). The loans have an average maturity of 2 to 3 years and provide yields between 6 and 9%. Bond issues range from €500,000 to €5,000,000 and can be sold before maturity on Euronext, which is generally not possible on other platforms.

Selection of projects
All project documents are available on the platform and descriptive notes are written and approved by audit firms. To date, no defects have been found, with management teams selecting only the best projects and following each stage of development as closely as possible.
